Spread the Fox by Folding with Flare!
Spreading Firefox while folding proteins to help research on diseases and better understanding of how proteins fold.

Hello everyone!

This is my first day in the Firefox Folding Team. And I find it really exciting to be a part of this team. I only got one computer running so far (Athlon 64 3000+), but I think it could generate at least 200p / 24h. Its not much, but its allways something.

But one thing I don't like so much is the activity here. I think we chould get some regular visitors, to make this community active. And if we have an active community, we'll get more visitors, and so on.

And it's Head to Head at the 100K Turn

Well, I've reached 100K - wow! Averaging 277 points/wu at present, which isn't bad.

I never expected to get this far, but my ascendancy is not without competition... Mario is hard on my heels and looking to overtake (indeed he has, just briefly). I'm hoping to win back the lead though it's going to be tough. I suspect HopeSeekr is not in danger, though :-)

Folding on an Athlon 64 X2, one P4 HT 3GHz, and an Athlon XP 3.2GHz (btw, the Athlon XP is miles faster than the P4). And soon adding another Athlon 64 (single core :-( ). I did have a P4 laptop helping out, but that is (temporarily, I hope) in the emergency ward for major repairs to a worn out connector and cable.

Does the team need a seperate site?

Of course!

No, I'd rather see it under the wings of SFx

maybe time to close this site?

Exciting new times are underway at SFx (even when it down for a few days now ;o) and being on the SFx+ team involved in the revamping I cannot say to much about the new site.

However, there will be an opportunity in the future to discuss, and interact on a very secure server in the future. Software updates, and admin are standing by. This in respect to my call for help on this site with no repsons. Maybe there is no need for a seperate site for us folders, but more like in MozillaZine, to keep it under SFx wing.

I just want to poll the (few) people here that visit. I cannot say anything about the future format. I however feel that we could be more actractive and lively involved, and this platform does not seem to work (IMHO)
