Utter 13th-Hour Bush Hypocrisy!

O MY GODDESS!!

Get a load out of this quote by our very impotent Commander-in-Chief!

I urge all those that honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected, especially those who live at the mercy of others. The essence of civilization is that the strong have a duty to protect the weak. Cases where there are serious doubts and questions, the presumption should be in the favor of life.
-- George W. Bush

This coming after she died. His sentence -- "The essence of civilization is that the strong have a duty to protect the weak" -- is absolutely the most intelligent rhetoric I have ever heard from his mouth in almost 5 years. Yet, it appears he has not, in fact, contemplated his own speech writer's words. For in this very same instance, the strong condemned the weak to death, had it legally enforced, and had the judicial branch of government totally supercede the other three branches (Executive, Legislative, and Populous).

Straight from Bush's mouth: On 31 March 2005 the current maintainer of civilization has just lost its essence. Now the question remains, how long can a civilization with a corrupt/broken essence survive with even a modicrum of the USA's current glory/oppulence? Judging by the Roman Empire -- and that we are progressing roughly 10 to 25 times faster (due largely to faster communication/travel) -- it took 100 years for it to crumble after Nero.

If Bush is our Nero, if 9/11 was our Rome burning, then Terri Schiavo is our Christian persecution (Died week after Easter none-the-less). Since it took Rome 300 years to totally crumble into the Dark Ages, I give us 10 to 30 years with a 60% certainty.
