Spam!?

This is weird.. I just got spam on the spreadthefox.net catchall email account! Too bad.. but it also means that the site is getting more popular ;-).
To help the fight against spammers, we're supporting Project Honey Pot with a honey pot on this site and by having donated an MX entry.

My horror story :o
I registered my name ticketstogo.com as my brand-new corporate email address on 17 Jan 05, and *literally* within 5 hours I had my first piece of spam. The office had been plagued with spam for about a week hence and I was at a loss to explain it...until...
The MySQL exploit that was floating around right around then was the culprit. Some smuck had datamined our in-house public DB (which only contained *test* data) but that was enough for it to get all the in-house email addresses we'd used for testing various web applicatoins.
This just further proves the link between spammers and hackers that first started w/ spammers delivering human-verifying pictures to porn sites back in late 1999 early 2000.
