Thanks for all the fish (proteins)!
Submitted by up north on Fri, 2008-10-17 10:29.Dear lovely SFX folding community. I was there when we started, I promoted the hell out of this project in the old SFX, worked hard on the new SFX, and continue to work on protein engineering in my real life job.
However, time has come o hang the processor in the willows. Some laboratory computers are still running the application under my name, however I will not actively see to it that it stays that way. F@H on my computer stopped yesterday.

W00t
Submitted by up north on Tue, 2007-01-30 13:09.I am number 5. Wow, when I started folding (and I was one of the early ones) I was always hovering around number 20.
I know I added 1-2 computers since then, but still, back then I was never number 5. It is good to see in the list of active users that I am number 8 in there, and sometimes fall back to number 15 ;o)
Come'on dudes and dudettes: catch up with me I dare you ;o)
Now up to number 4... Chekat here I come.
Of course it would be better if we were getting of position 85 and climbed to top 50, but hey, who knows...

Ooops... gotta watch those logs. IE 7 issue.
Submitted by deus_vult on Tue, 2006-08-08 04:06.I recently installed IE7 beta3 to give it a whirl, what I didn't realize is that this affected my folding. I was cleaning up my computer today and decided to check my folding log, and noticed that it hadn't been able to submit work reults for a while.
Closed one computer...
Submitted by up north on Wed, 2006-04-19 09:14.Well it has been folding since I added the nice little red logo in my system tray. I was also one of the first to enter this team. Now that it slowly is getting warmer (outside and thus in my computer) I am pulling the F@H out of my home computer.
I am slowly trickling into the top 10 of our team so I will give that one its needed rest. The other 4 computers will continue as good as they can, but since they are located at work, other people than me may switch them off or be very active on them. Eitherway ~300 points a day in stead of ~500 a day is fine. I am over 133 000 points soon.
Please others catch up, crank up your machine(s). And to all those who see their folding records in black (at eoc stats) remember: that you guys do over 60% of all work!

cron cron cron
Submitted by praseodymium on Thu, 2006-03-16 20:54.Drupal/CivicSpace, which powers this site, needs cron to execute some scheduled tasks. Since we don't have cron on the server, I made a script that looped with a sleep and executed the tasks regularly. Problem: this script got killed regularly, which resulted in no cron for weeks (until I remembered to restart the script, that is). I've now put crontask on another dedicated server with real cron, so it should always run now, which'll mean notifications are in time again.
PS.: Yes, I'm still active :). And I can give anyone admin rights if he or she wants (just so you can promote posts to the frontpage, etc.).
